Frequently asked questions
Do my notes leave my device?
No — recording, transcription, and field extraction all happen on-device. Notes only leave your device if you choose to turn on the optional Google Sheets sync feature, in which case they go to a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete a note?
Swipe left on any note in the list and tap Delete.
How do I connect or disconnect Google Sheets?
Open Settings → Google Sheets. Connecting requires an EmmaNotes Pro subscription. Disconnecting stops future syncing; your spreadsheet stays in your Google Drive.
How long are voice recordings kept?
You control this in Settings → Audio Retention (7, 30, or 90 days, or kept indefinitely). Transcripts and extracted fields are kept until you delete the note.
